Behind the Words
What I’ve learned about myself over the years is that I am, and always will be, a true and hopeless romantic.
I believe there is magic in the stars, in the sunrise, in the sunset, and, especially, in the sight of the moon. My son and I spend inordinate amounts of time staring at these wonders, dancing around our kitchen, and throwing a football. Wherever we go, whatever we do, there is always a football.
In our household of two, where we break out into random song lyrics and laugh until our bellies ache, we always look on the bright side, count our blessings, and believe everything happens for a reason.
I believe the Universe brings you everything you ask for, and that peace and happiness are choices you make. For me, there is peace in the sound of the rain from my back porch, in the wisdom of Thich Nhat Hanh, and in the sand and the sounds of the surf. When I’m not reading, writing, or running, you’ll find me on the sidelines watching The Greatest Kid On The Planet run like the wind and be his amazing self.
